Dallas County, Texas is currently recruiting for an Investment Manager. The successful incumbent will manage investment portfolio to maintain security of funds, sufficient liquidity and maximize investment income. Monitors market trends, analyzes the yield curve, compares spreads between yields of different securities, and considers the timing of the County’s cash needs to maximize interest income. Manages the day-to-day cash management and investment decision-making.
Requirements include education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or directly related field. Three (3) years of high-level financial management experience. Must have in-depth understanding of applicable laws, rules and regulations related to investment of funds. Experience in a banking environment preferred. Skilled in the use of standard software applications. Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments and the general public. Standard office environment. May require prolonged sitting and standing.
