 Director of Juvenile Court Services

The Superior Court of Pinal County is currently seeking a Director of Juvenile Court Services. This position is located in historic Florence, Ariz. The Director of Juvenile Court Services performs work of unusual difficulty in planning, organizing and directing the mission, vision, operations and activities for the Juvenile Court Services and the Family and Conciliation Court Services. This is a Department Head/Administrative Officer position that works under policy and statute direction. The decisions made affect the goals, services, and objectives of the organization and may involve highly sensitive and political issues affecting the organization as a whole. This position is not covered under the Pinal County Judicial Merit System. Incumbents in this position serve at the pleasure of their respective Appointing Authority.

Coordinates implementation of mediation services among and across judicial divisions to improve case processing and reduce hearing costs and attorney fees.

Engages Conciliation Court Department Head and Domestic Relations Presiding Judge to evaluate and improve services.

Prepares, monitors and executes department budgets for both Courts. Assesses efficiency of operations for both Courts. Assist the Presiding |

Judge in implementing court policies, procedures and plans across multiple Court Divisions.

Attends court hearings and testifies, if necessary, on liability matters. Coordinates with the Clerk of the Superior Court to implement improvements in the business process of the Courts.

Conducts strategic planning and implementation for multiple Divisions of the Court.

Formulates fiscal management and revenue projections for multiple Divisions of the Court.

Prepares required governmental annual reports. Recruits and appoints staff.

Approve department expenditures. Manages Personnel matters for both Court Departments.

Supervises and manages performance of Financial Officer; mid-level Managers and other direct reports.

Required Qualifications
Master's Degree in Business, Management, the Social Services or related field from an accredited college or university AND ten years of experience in the field of corrections or probation, or working with offenders or delinquents in some equivalent capacity with at least five years of progressively increasing responsibility in an administrative and supervisory capacity. A valid Arizona State Driver's License may be required.
